Govardhan Peeth Gets Major Boost from CM Majhi Meeting

Govardhan Peeth remains the central focus of a high-level meeting held today at Lok Seva Bhawan. Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi chaired the meeting for the overall development, security and propagation of Shri Jagannath culture linked to Puri Govardhan Peeth.

The meeting took place under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. Representatives of the Peeth joined the discussion. The Chief Minister examined ways to enhance the spiritual grandeur of Puri. He also examined ways to protect the assets of Govardhan Peeth. Detailed talks covered the improvement of the Peeth. Emphasis on Sandhya Mahodadhi Aarti and Puri Beach

The Chief Minister laid special emphasis on the sacred Sandhya Mahodadhi Aarti. This Aarti is performed daily in front of the Puri Swargadwar Beach. He stated that the Aarti site would be beautified. The evening Aarti would be conducted in an even more grand manner. He directed the administration to develop the entire Puri beach area as a grand spiritual beachfront. These steps aim to support the daily ritual and the surrounding space.

The Chief Minister advised a thorough re-verification of the old land settlement documents. This step targets a permanent solution to the land encroachment issues of Govardhan Peeth.
