Five panchayats and one district council from Odisha have secured top positions in the National Panchayat Awards this year.

Potolampur Gram Panchayat of Chatrapur Block in Ganjam District secured joint third place in the country in the Healthy Gram Panchayat category. This achievement highlights the panchayat’s focus on public health and wellness.
Padua Gram Panchayat of Champua Block in Kendujhar District secured third place at the national level in the Gram Panchayat with Sufficient Water Availability category. The recognition underlines the effective water management efforts in the area.
Hatibanda Gram Panchayat of Lathikata Block in Sundargarh District secured joint second place in the Clean and Green Gram Panchayat category. This win shows the panchayat’s success in maintaining cleanliness and promoting greenery.
Mandar Gram Panchayat of Polsara Block in Ganjam District secured joint second place in the Socially Secure and Just Gram Panchayat category. The award appreciates the panchayat’s work towards social security and justice for residents.
National Panchayat Awards also honoured Ganjam District Council with second place in the country in the Nanaji Deshmukh Outstanding Panchayat Satat Vikas Award category. This recognition celebrates the district’s consistent efforts in rural development.
These awards will be presented in New Delhi on June 3.
